3D Laser Scanning

With the implementation of BIM and IPMS within property and construction markets, the requirements and expectations for the highest levels of accuracy within measured survey data is increasing.

Compared to traditional measuring practices, 3D Laser Scanning is the process of capturing a spatially accurate 3D data set of a building or site, in a virtual environment. From mechanical plant to buildings and structures, its function is always the same; to record and transfer the survey area into a digital computer format that can be successfully interrogated remotely, providing high levels of accuracy which are unobtainable using traditional measuring techniques.

Once a full 3D ‘point cloud’ has been collected, it can be used for a variety of applications such as:
